Join us for a timely and insightful webinar exploring the fast-evolving world of oral nicotine products, such as Zyn pouches, and what they mean for young people in Aotearoa and beyond.

Introduced by Professor Janet Hoek (University of Otago) the session will open with an overview of oral nicotine products, how they are marketed, and the current policy landscape in New Zealand.

Professor David Hammond (University of Waterloo) will present new findings from the International Tobacco Control (ITC) Youth and Young Adult Survey, revealing how aware young New Zealanders are of these products, how many are using them, and how usage and trends compare with Canada, the USA, and England.

Dr Jude Ball (University of Otago) will share qualitative insights from young people in Aotearoa, offering a deep dive into their views and experiences with oral nicotine products, including opinions on the Government’s proposal to legalise their sale.

The webinar features cutting-edge, yet-to-be-published research being shared with New Zealand audiences for the first time. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from leading researchers on an important emerging public health issue.
